- Schedule surgeries and procedures for patients - Coordinate with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth scheduling process - Use phone systems and electronic scheduling software to manage appointments - Communicate with patients to provide necessary information and instructions prior to surgery - Obtain and verify insurance information for billing purposes - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled surgeries and procedures - Collaborate with other departments, such as the ER, to prioritize urgent cases Requirements:
- Must be able to work both locations - Lockport and Williamsville if needed.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a surgery scheduler - Familiarity with phone systems and electronic scheduling software - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus Job Type:
